Connect your startup via API or MCP
Ventry Launch offers a REST API and MCP server for developers and AI assistants to access launch data and manage listings.
Updated
Access methods
You can integrate with Ventry Launch through two channels. The REST API sits at /api/v1 with full OpenAPI 3.1 documentation at /api/v1/openapi.json. For AI assistants—Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients—we run a remote MCP server at /mcp. Both routes let you search launches and read listings on record.
Authentication
Sign in via OAuth, where your assistant opens a sign-in page on this site, or use a personal API key issued from /account/developers. Keys display once only; we store a hash. Treat your key as sensitive file.
What you can do
Through the API or MCP, you can search available launches and pull full listing detail. If you hold permission to manage your own listings, you can also draft and update them. Voting is not available through these channels.
Quotas and payment
Rate limits and daily quotas apply to all API access. When payments are needed, the API returns a checkout link to complete transaction on this site. All deal flow remains recorded here.
Full developer notes are available at /developers.
Questions people ask
- Can I use the API to vote on launches?
- No. The API and MCP support search, reading and listing management only. Voting is available on the site itself.
- How do I get an API key?
- Visit /account/developers to generate a personal key. It displays once, so save it immediately. Only a hash is stored in our records.
- Do rate limits apply to both REST and MCP?
- Yes. Rate limits and daily quotas apply to all API access, whether you connect via REST or through an MCP client.
