How do I claim and verify my listing?

Take ownership of your company listing and earn the Verified badge by proving domain control.

Updated

Claiming the listing

Locate your company's listing on Ventry Launch. Select "Claim" from the listing page, or navigate to /claim/<listing> directly. You'll be prompted to verify that you control the company's domain.

Domain verification methods

Choose one of four approaches:

  • Email verification: We send a link to an address at your company's domain. Click through to confirm ownership.
  • DNS TXT record: Add a record to the root domain that we provide.
  • Meta tag: Place a tag in the HTML of your homepage.
  • Verification file: Upload a small file to your website at a path we specify.

Each code remains valid for 14 days. If yours expires, begin the process again.

After verification

Once confirmed, you become the listing owner (assuming it was unclaimed). You can now edit all details, upload files, and manage the filing. The Verified badge appears on your listing—it signals domain control only, never indicates paid placement or voting activity, and cannot be transferred or sold.

Questions people ask

What does the Verified badge mean?
It means you've proven control of the company's domain. The badge is never awarded for payment and sits separately from any paid features or vote counts.
My verification code expired. What next?
Return to /claim/<listing> and select "Claim" again. You'll receive a new code valid for 14 days.
Can I verify using any of these four methods?
Yes. Choose whichever method suits your access—email, DNS, meta tag, or file upload all work equally.
